About Us

Mason Andres, CPA, joined the firm of Thomas & Thomas in 1963 after having been associated with a national firm in Dallas. He attended the United States Naval Academy and has a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. Mr. Andres is a member of the Arkansas and Texas Societies of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is a past member of the Board of the AICPA and Board of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, is a past chair of the AICPA Peer Review Committee of the Private Companies Practice Section of the Division for CPA Firms, and is a past Chair of the PCPS Executive Committee of the AICPA. Mr. Andres is the current chair of the Peer Review Oversight Board of the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy, a past member of AICPA Council and has served as a chair of the AICPA Awards Committee and as a member of the AICPA Business Performance Measures Task Force. He also has served as chair of the 1998 and 1999 AICPA Practitioners Symposium. Mr. Andres is a past president of Texarkana Country Club, past chairman of the United Way of Texarkana and the Committee of Fifteen.

Mr. Andres is a frequent lecturer on professional standards and has been honored as the Outstanding Discussion Leader by the Arkansas Society of CPA's. The University of Arkansas at Fayetteville School of Business named Mr. Andres as the Outstanding Accountant in Public Practice for 1996. Mr. Andres is a past recipient of the Arkansas Society of CPAs’ Community Service Award.

Monty serves in the tax services area of our practice.

He is a native of Horatio and a cum laude graduate of Henderson State University. In 1991, he was appointed by Governor Bill Clinton to the Arkansas State Board of Public Accountancy, where he served as President in 1995. Monty is a Past President of the Texarkana Chapter of the Texas and Arkansas Chapter of Certified Public Accountants.

Monty has served on the Board of Governors of Texarkana Country Club and the board of Texarkana Arkansas Education Foundation. For over twenty years, he has served on the Texarkana Arkansas Civil Service Commission, working closely with the Police and Fire Departments of the city. Monty is licensed to practice in Arkansas and Texas, is a member of both state societies, and the AICPA.

Tim serves as the audit manager of our Texarkana practice. Originally from Kingsland, Arkansas, Tim joined the firm in June of 1998. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Southern Arkansas University and his Master of Science degree in Accounting from Texas A&M University-Texarkana.

Tim is licensed to practice as a Certified Public Accountant in Arkansas and Texas and is a member of both the Arkansas and Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. Tim currently serves as a member of the Report Acceptance Body (RAB) under the Texas Society of CPAs Peer Review Program. He has previously served as the President of the Texarkana Chapter of Certified Public Accountants and as an adjunct professor at Texas A&M University-Texarkana. Tim is a 2008 graduate of the Leadership Texarkana Program and has previously served on various boards of directors and committees in the Greater Texarkana area including the finance committee of First Baptist Church of Texarkana, treasurer of the Wilbur Smith Rotary Club and the Pleasant Grove Youth Association.

Tim volunteers his time and invests in the youth of the Texarkana area by coaching various team sports with the Pleasant Grove Youth Association, Texarkana Dixie Baseball, and East Texas Hoops.

Andrew joined the audit practice in 2014 as the audit senior. His current engagements include primarily nonprofit and governmental entities, for-profit businesses, and employee benefit plans.

Andrew graduated honors with distinction summa cum laude from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas, with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Management Information Systems. He joined Thomas & Thomas in 2014 after working 3 years as an auditor in Little Rock, Arkansas, where he became licensed to practice as a Certified Public Accountant in Arkansas. Andrew is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Idaho Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Andrew moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, in 2017, where he continues to function as audit senior through telecommuting.

Whitney joined Thomas & Thomas in August of 2012. She graduated from Texas A&M-Texarkana in December of 2012 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting and a Master of Science degree in Accounting, simultaneously. She has been working in both the tax and audit departments.

Glenda Musgrove is the Office Manager for Thomas & Thomas and joined the team in 1981. She attended Louisiana Tech and began her working career with International Paper Company in Springhill, Louisiana, with positions in Sales Service and Accounting. Her eventual move to Texarkana was a result of her husband, Byron, being transferred here by International Paper.

As Office Manager, Glenda plays a key role in helping our office run smoothly, assisting with a variety of operational duties. Friendly and committed, she strives to ensure that each client contact receives the highest quality of care and customer service.

Glenda is a member of Williams Memorial Methodist Church. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, shopping and traveling to spend time with family in Kentucky and New Jersey.

Maddie Warren joined Thomas & Thomas in 2019 after obtaining a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Southern Arkansas University. Maddie serves in the audit area of our Texarkana practice.

Scott joined the Thomas & Thomas audit practice in 2020. He graduated with a Master of Science degree in Accounting from Texas A&M - Texarkana in 2004. Before joining Thomas & Thomas, Scott spent 4 years working as the primary auditor for a CPA firm in Texarkana, AR. His work experience also includes the transportation and manufacturing industries. Scott’s current engagements include nonprofit and governmental entities and employee benefit plans.

Cody Tilley joined Thomas & Thomas in 2020. Cody is a native of Ashdown, Arkansas, and is a summa cum laude graduate of Henderson State University where he obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting. Cody is a member of the Arkansas and Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants as well as the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Cody serves in the audit area of our practice.

Emile Jackson has been with Thomas & Thomas since September 2000 as a bookkeeper and payroll specialist. She graduated from Texas A&M-Texarkana with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a specialized interest in Accounting. She and her husband Patrick have three children, Dylan, Carson, and Kaitlyn.

Austin Hunnicutt joined Thomas & Thomas in 2023. He graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Southern Arkansas University. Austin serves in the audit area of our Texarkana practice.

Sam joined Thomas & Thomas in January of 2023. He is a native of Bowie County, and is currently attending Texas A&M University-Texarkana in pursuit of a Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree. He works primarily in the audit area of our practice.
